Hassan Aden, PhD (Research Director)
Dr. Hassan Aden is a researcher specializing in humanitarianism, peacebuilding, and development, focusing on contexts of crisis, displacement, and fragile post-conflict states. His fieldwork experience includes Somalia and Kenya, including the Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps. He holds a PhD in Peace and Development Research from the University of Gothenburg, an MSc in Global Studies (with a major in Political Science) from Lund University, and a BA in International Relations from Malmö University. His publications have appeared in numerous peer-reviewed international journals, including the Journal of Eastern African Studies, Journal of Refugee Studies, Journal on Education in Emergencies, and The Strategic Review for Southern Africa.
